The Delicate Sensibilities Of The Toronto Bourgeoisie.

Mr. Cherry made no apologies. “What can I tell ya, don’t invite me,” he told reporters after the ceremony. “If you want a pit bull you get a pit bull.”

Pit Bull Or Insufficiently Fabulous?:

As a conservative, I think Don Cherry's talk is an embarassment, both to conservatives or anyone else associated with him.

And that pink get-up is awful, simply awful.

I love Don. I really miss HNIC, and Coaches Corner.

If there was anything disgraceful about the investiture, it was Adam Vaughn's public, visible, and entirely un-civic minded display of contempt when he turned his back on the proceedings.

Now that was just not cricket.

Cherry's get-up, on the other hand, was inspired. It's like Sid the Kid showing up to a game at the ACC wearing the blue and white, and talking about how he just felt like going slumming.

The stiff collar, the garish pink wardrobe, the outlandish statements, the fruity name — Don Cherry is a character from a John Waters film.

"Don Cherry is a character from a John Waters film."

Then he should fit right in.

That's what I love about Canada. You can laugh at an icon like Don Cherry and nobody will come after you with a loaded gun.
