Support the Haft Tapeh Sugar Cane Workers

An independent union of 5,000 sugarcane plantation workers in southern Iran is fighting the Iranian government's efforts to crush the union by threatening lengthy prison sentences for 5 elected leaders, charged with acting against "national security" in connection with a strike last year and the formation of the union.

The five leaders are Ali Nejati, President, Feridoun Nikoufard, Vice President, Mohammed Heydari Mehr, Representative for Industry Affairs, Ghorban Alipour, Secretary, and Jalil Ahmadi, Member of the Board of Directors.
