This Means War, Of Course. It Means War To The Knife, And The Knife To The Hilt.

To prevent this:

We must do this:
Harry's brilliant. So is this crowd: As the Canadianists are emboldened by their French allies, their saber rattling grows louder and we can ill afford to continue to brush them off as quaint maple syrup producers who end declarative sentences with rising inflections.

I will be able to tell my grandchildren I was there when the first shots were fired.

UPDATE: In the Ottawa Citizen, John Robson has mounted a most scurrilous attack on certain members of
the Asteraceae family. He shall be hearing from my solicitors.

UPDATE II - If Mark Steyn is right, and demography is destiny. . .: More than 8,000 Americans immigrated to B.C. between 2001 and 2006, a number that has doubled since 2001, surpassing immigration from Iran, Hong Kong, or Pakistan.

Here's a couple reasons to stay on this side of the border. The Westboro Baptist Church (that “God Hates Fags” crew from the heart of Jesusland USA) presents their cover “We Are the World,” rewritten and retitled as “God Hates the World.” The following spectacle manages to be both surreal and fleshcrawlingly creepy at the same time. I’m fairly sure all the people on screen are related to each other. If you can stomach it, the last twenty seconds are as close to pure evil as I’ve seen.

Then, there's their "God Hates Ireland" video clip:

Anyone talks like that about Ireland should be spared the inconvenience of human rights complaints and brought immediately to the business end of a giant catapult to be flang into the middle of a raging forest fire. As for the God Hates Fags stuff, it has been my experience that gay people tend to be a lot more lenient with their adversaries, perhaps too lenient, but I would defer to the judgment of, say, a panel consisting of Montreal Simon and his chums on what punishment is most appropriate. So long as they let me participate in the enforcement end.

Still, those kinds of stories about what nutbags can get away with in the U.S and A leaves me more sympathetic to Americans (who have to put up with that kind of crap all the time), rather than less.

Cheers,

T

Yup, I sympathize with my Yankee (and Irish) brethren and sistren -- free speech is great but the demon inside me hopes that Geldof and Bono sue the pants off these creeps for copyright infringement.

It's enough to make me want to convert to Catholicism and Homosexuality.... not necessarily in that order.

As Sun Tzu once wrote, "Thus those skilled in war subdue the enemy's army without battle .... They conquer by strategy."

Now we just need a strategy. The world is ours!

Amusing - but some of it is open to serious misinterpretation by stressed, tired and irritated fatmen who feel defensive about their pals :-)
